The process

Our step-by-step guide to a successful claim

  1. Contact our team on 0330 822 3591.
  2. One of our expert team will talk you through the process and you will need to send us a copy of your mortgage deed for review (Escritura de Hipoteca)
  3. The legal team will then review the documentation, and in return we will let you know if you have a valid claim.
  4. When you give us a go ahead, we will create a power of attorney for you to sign in a notary, which allows our legal team to file the claim in Spain.
  5. The legal system in Spain can be slow, the process can take 1 to 2 years. During that time our team will give you updates throughout.
  6. The outcome can come in 2 different forms, the claim may be paid directly by the bank, or the Spanish courts may order them to make the payment.
  7. Once an agreement is made, the bank will pay you your refund!
